There’s just something about a fall wedding in downtown Charlottesville that feels like a love story come to life. Golden leaves, soft sunlight, and a cozy kind of magic filled the air for Lauren and Edwin’s October celebration at Old Metropolitan Hall. Their day was the perfect blend of timeless elegance, personal touches, and heartfelt joy for the city they call home.
We began in a sunlit bridal suite where burgundy dresses swayed in the windows, music played in the background, and mimosas were shared with laughter. These slow, intentional mornings are what we love most—when beauty and excitement meet calm energy and happy anticipation. It’s the kind of atmosphere that sets the tone for the entire day.
For Lauren’s bridal beauty, we focused on soft romance and timeless style. Her hair was styled in a textured low updo with delicate, face-framing pieces that moved gracefully with each step. The look paired beautifully with her lace gown and flowing cathedral veil—creating a bridal presence that was classic, elegant, and dreamy.
Her makeup enhanced her natural features, giving her glowing skin, softly defined eyes, and a blush-pink lip. The finished look felt fresh, polished, and completely true to her—just how every bride deserves to feel.
Lauren’s bridesmaids brought a beautiful burst of fall color. Each wore a rich burgundy dress and had a hair and makeup look customized to their style. We created soft, seasonal beauty—from tousled waves to chic updos—finished with natural, glowing makeup and hints of warm-toned shimmer. The result was cohesive yet personal, tying the whole bridal party together in style and spirit.
One of our favorite parts of offering on-site hair and makeup in Charlottesville is how it transforms the wedding morning. With everything happening in one space, the energy stays relaxed, joyful, and fully focused on what matters most—being surrounded by your favorite people, soaking in the love, and feeling truly beautiful.
At Charlottesville Wedding Hair and Makeup Artist, we truly love what we do. Being able to bring calm, confidence, and beauty to such meaningful moments is a gift we never take for granted. Lauren and Edwin’s wedding was a perfect reflection of everything we cherish—warmth, love, and the joy of celebrating in this beautiful town we call home. We’re so thankful to have been part of their special day.
Love,
