When it comes to weddings, sometimes less can be more, and that’s definitely the case with Catherine + Tyler’s intimate Pippin Hill wedding. While some couples choose exhilarating, grand affairs — and they often are stunning — there’s something about the meaningful beauty of an intimacy of family surrounding you on your big day. For Catherine + Tyler, that couldn’t be more true.

Catherine + Tyler’s wedding day began with their al fresco ceremony at Kemper Park on the Monticello Trail where the pair exchanged vows in front of their parents, grandparents, and siblings. The day would continue with a gorgeous lunch at Pippin Hill Farms and a sweet, closing dinner at Red Pump Kitchen in Charlottesville.

Catherine’s wedding makeup would need to transition from day to evening so we used smokier tones on the outer third of her eyes but keep her lid bright to make her eyes shine. As for her lips, we used a nude as to not compete with her stunning eyes. To top it off, we kept the skin fresh with a bit of a rosy glow.

From the intimate ceremony to the lovely lunch and final dinner, Catherine + Tyler’s Pippin Hill wedding was a dream. We were so happy to be part of their love story. Take a look at some of our favorite images captured by Amy Jackson.
