Leaves of Love: Kacy and Matt’s Fall Wedding in Charlottesville

It’s not every day that one of your brides gets married in a fairytale forest, but that’s exactly what happened with Kacy + Matt’s outdoor fall Charlottesville wedding. The pair opted to tie the knot in the gorgeous acreage behind Kacy’s parent’s home, and with the autumn leaves and warm hues of this big day, nothing could have been more perfect. Except for Kacy, of course.

Kacy’s wedding day was a classic big day, and we decided to keep her bridal makeup in line with the nature of the wedding. We kept her skin natural but enhanced her features using a soft glow and blushing cheeks. For her eyes, we decided to define them with a smoky outer corner and stunning lashes. At the end of the day, Kacy’s wedding makeup was flawless, but with Kacy, that wasn’t hard to achieve.

We were so happy to join Kacy for her wedding day. Here are some of our favorite moments from this gorgeous, outdoor fall Charlottesville wedding.

James Monroe’s Highland Wedding | Classic Ceremony of Carina and Matt’s Love

What can we say? Here at Charlottesville Makeup Artist, LLC, we’re suckers for a classic wedding! And Carina + Matt’s spring James Monroe’s Highland wedding is just that. From the sweet church ceremony to the stunning reception, we’re totally smitten with both this couple and their beautiful big day.

For us, Carina + Matt’s wedding combined the best of all worlds. Their classic ceremony was flawless, and for their reception, they chose to go al fresco and romantic. From the ethereal violet hues to the gorgeous and soft florals, it was as if a garden had come to life for their big day.

Because of just how romantic their affair was, we decided to keep Carina’s wedding hair and bridal makeup classic. We pulled her blonde locks back into a low up-do but kept a bit of volume for a relaxed feel. For her makeup, it was all about Carina’s natural beauty. With a glowing complexion, defined eyes, and a neutral lip, she was the epitome of a perfect bride.

We couldn’t be happier to have participated in this couple’s classic James Monroe’s Highland wedding day, and we hope you love this sneak peek as much as we do.

A Stunning Bridal Styled Shoot of Sorbello Couture | James Monroe Highland

When it comes to us, nothing is better than a bride. That’s why we were so excited to work with a wonderful team of vendors to craft a Sorbello Couture bridal-styled shoot. This stunning, al fresco shoot features some of the most gorgeous gowns from Charlottesville-based designer Sorbello Couture. From a-line silhouettes to romantic lace, seeing this gowns was a total dream. Thankfully, we got to give these beautiful models hair + makeup that was just as gorgeous as their gowns.

For the shoot, we experimented with a few different looks including a diffused and smoky pink-hued eye look, some classic and neutral bridal makeup, and a bold lip. Our creative juices were certainly flowing as we worked on each of the gorgeous women involved in the shoot.

We adored being able to help craft these gorgeous images in any way, and we can’t wait for you to see some of our favorite shots from Jason Keefer Photography.

Summertime, gorgeous farm grounds, and a sweet couple? Yes, we’re smitten with Stacy + Peter’s Guildford Farm wedding. This couple’s outdoor wedding was filled with soft hues, sunshine, and all the love you could imagine. We’re so glad that we were able to be a small part of Stacy’s big day.

For Stacy’s big day, we decided to embrace everything about summer. For us, this meant glowing skin and a bronze look. We emphasized Stacy’s eyes with natural tones and a bit of eyeliner and kept her skin flawless but natural. For her hair, with the summer sun out, we swept it up in a romantic, low updo.

We adored being part of Stacy + Peter’s Guildford Farm wedding and are so excited to show you some of our favorite moments.

Louisa and Grant’s Wedding | Inspired by Harry Potter

Sometimes things can get a little out of hand when it comes to themed weddings. That’s not what happened with Louisa + Grant’s Harry Potter wedding at Hermitage Hill. This duo knew how to create a gorgeous big day and give enough details to show their Hogwarts pride. We were thrilled to be part of this big day and feel like we got our own bottle of Felix Felicis when working with these two.

While Louisa’s homage to Severus Snape on her bridal heels is wonderful and the snitch ring box was a classic choice, Louisa was our favorite part of this themed wedding. For her bridal makeup, we decided to keep things natural but defined. We emphasized her lashes with a bit of liner along the lash line and kept her skin fresh and glowing.

We’re so excited to show off all of our favorite moments from Louisa + Grant’s gorgeous Harry Potter-themed wedding day.
