Laura and Matthew’s spring wedding at The Market at Grelen brought together lush greenery, fresh florals, and a gorgeous garden setting. For Laura’s wedding day, our Team at Charlottesville Wedding Hair and Makeup Artist created a bridal look that felt soft, polished, and romantic, perfectly complementing her gown and the fresh beauty of the season.

Wedding morning was all about bringing Laura’s complete bridal vision together. Her strapless ballgown featured delicate floral detailing and a full, flowing skirt, paired with an elegant veil for the ceremony. We wanted her hair and makeup to enhance those beautiful details while still allowing Laura herself to be the focus.

For her bridal hair, we created a softly textured low updo with delicate curls framing her face. The gathered style added beautiful fullness and dimension while keeping her hair swept away from her shoulders and showcasing the neckline of her gown. Loose pieces around her face gave the style a softer finish, while the shape of the updo provided the perfect placement for her veil.

Laura’s wedding day makeup was fresh, radiant, and softly defined. We created glowing, natural-looking skin and used warm neutral tones to gently enhance her eyes. Wispy lashes added definition, while soft blush and a natural rosy lip brought warmth to the finished look. Her makeup felt polished enough for the wedding day without ever becoming heavy or taking away from her natural features.

Our Team also had the pleasure of creating hair and makeup looks for Laura’s bridal party. Their gowns ranged from soft sage to rich emerald green, and each beauty look was personalized to the individual. Rather than making everyone look identical, we created a mix of polished hairstyles and fresh makeup that allowed each bridesmaid to feel comfortable and confident while still giving the bridal party a beautifully cohesive finish.

One of our favorite moments is seeing everything come together once the bride steps into her gown, and Laura’s finished look was stunning. Her textured updo, softly glowing makeup, veil, and gown complemented one another beautifully. The look carried seamlessly from getting ready and portraits to her walk down the aisle and the celebration that followed.
