Diana + Jon’s The Seclusion Wedding

Soft, romantic pinks, glowing smiles, and a stunning venue all come together perfectly in Diana + Jon’s The Seclusion wedding. This big day featured a stunning mountain-view ceremony outdoors, a rustic meets romantic vibe, and of course, a couple whose love for one another radiated off them. Of course, though, our favorite part of this wedding was Diana.

Romance was key to Diana’s bridal look. We kept most of her hair down and in loose, waves with piece framing her face. Strands were then pulled back away from her face in a half-up, half-down style. For her makeup, we wanted to keep things natural but defined. Using neutral shades, we defined her eyes and played up her lashes. Her skin was natural and flushed, and for her lips, we used a soft, peachy-pink.

We’re so glad that we were able to be part of Diana + Jon’s The Seclusion wedding and hope you enjoy seeing this big day as much as we loved being part of it.

Mikal + Alex’s Boxwood Villa Wedding

Ah, sweet summertime. We miss you over here at Charlottesville Makeup Artist LLC, but we can relive some of our favorite summer weddings until temperatures start to warm. Mikal + Alex’s Boxwood Villa wedding was certainly one of them. This pair’s wedding combined rustic charm and romance in the perfect way, and we can’t get enough.

Another thing we’ll never get tired of? Seeing Mikal on her wedding day. This beautiful brunette bride was a blast, and we adored working with her. For her makeup look, we kept things all about the eyes. Using an eyeliner, we defined her last line and played up her eyelashes while leaving the rest of her look neutral. As for her hair, it was a mix of classic meets romantic. We swept her brunette locks back into a curling, intricate updo and left tendrils falling around her face.

Sure, winter may be here now, but take a moment and remember all the summer lovin’ — particularly Mikal + Alex’s.

Susan + Suraj’s Multi-Cultural Summer Wedding at Pippin Hill

We were lucky enough to bring you a sneak peak of our bride Susan’s wedding hair, and now we’re excited to share she and husband Suraj’s multi-cultural summer wedding at Pippin Hill Farms. Their gorgeous Indian fusion wedding was a joy to be part of, and we couldn’t be more in love with this beautiful pair.

For Susan’s wedding day, we decided to let her natural beauty shine by sweeping her hair back into a low, twisted up-do. With loose but defined waves, her hair was classic and romantic. For her makeup, we kept things natural yet defined. We went with a more matte look to the skin with a bit of a flush to her cheeks. For her eyes, we defined her outer corners to make her eyes shine. On the lips, we went natural so that her eyes were the focus of her bridal look.

Susan + Suraj’s Pippin Hill Farm wedding was a true joy, and we hope you love these moments from their big day as much as we do!

Jessica + Ray’s Guildford Farm Wedding

When it rains, it pours. At Jessica + Ray’s Guildford Farm wedding, that was certainly case. This couple’s romantic wedding day captured by C. Tyler Corvin Studio was nothing short of miraculous thanks to quick-thinking vendors and a little help from Mother Nature herself.

Jessica began her day with us as we highlighted her natural beauty (because sometimes less actually is more). With neutral colors accented by a hint of dark liner, Jessica’s eyes shone, and her glossy pink lip was the perfect, romantic addition to her wedding day makeup. As for her dark locks, they were swept back into a beautifully intricate low up-do that can only be described as elegant.

With Jessica and her bridesmaids’ hair and makeup squared away, you’d think all must be right in the world. However, the weather had other plans. With a storm coming just before the al fresco reception, the brilliant minds at Guildford Farms and planner Barb Wired worked quickly to move the celebration, and the result was a romantic evening for the newly married couple.

We adored being part of such a special day filled with love. Here’s a peek at some of our favorite moments from Jessica + Ray’s Guilford Farm wedding.

Classic Southern Wedding at Restoration Hall

A classic southern wedding at Restoration Hall with Charlottesville Makeup Artist? We can’t think of a better combination!

We were so thrilled to be a part of this special wedding day and enjoyed doing hair and makeup for Olivia and her bridal party.

The bride chose to wear her hair half up and half down — showing off her gorgeous long hair and classic beauty.

From the beginning to the end, the day was unforgettable. We especially loved the periwinkle florals by Hedge Fine Blooms that were used as decor for the ceremony and reception. Oh, and we can’t forget the bride and groom racing their golf carts during their portrait session! As you can see, our hairstyles can withstand a whole lot of fun!
