James Monroe’s Highland Wedding | Classic Ceremony of Carina and Matt’s Love

What can we say? Here at Charlottesville Makeup Artist, LLC, we’re suckers for a classic wedding! And Carina + Matt’s spring James Monroe’s Highland wedding is just that. From the sweet church ceremony to the stunning reception, we’re totally smitten with both this couple and their beautiful big day.

For us, Carina + Matt’s wedding combined the best of all worlds. Their classic ceremony was flawless, and for their reception, they chose to go al fresco and romantic. From the ethereal violet hues to the gorgeous and soft florals, it was as if a garden had come to life for their big day.

Because of just how romantic their affair was, we decided to keep Carina’s wedding hair and bridal makeup classic. We pulled her blonde locks back into a low up-do but kept a bit of volume for a relaxed feel. For her makeup, it was all about Carina’s natural beauty. With a glowing complexion, defined eyes, and a neutral lip, she was the epitome of a perfect bride.

We couldn’t be happier to have participated in this couple’s classic James Monroe’s Highland wedding day, and we hope you love this sneak peek as much as we do.

Courtney + Daniel | A Charming Wedding at Montfair Resort Farm

Do you love natural, rustic weddings? This Montfair Resort Farm wedding is going to be the next thing you pin to your Pinterest board. Between the gorgeous greenery draped beautifully over, well, basically everything to the pops of blue, and the sweet al fresco ceremony! The wedding of Courtney and Daniel had everything a future bride could want and more. Speaking of brides, though, it’s no secret that our brides are the shining light of any wedding, and Courtney was, of course, no exception.

Making Courtney look beautiful for her big day was, admittedly, an easy task. Her natural beauty and stunning smile can light up a room, and we decided to make her God-given features pop even more.

For her look, we emphasized Courtney’s stunning eyes by lining them and adding voluminous lashes. With her eyes being the focus, we kept her skin glowing and left her lips neutral. The result was sparkling bridal eyes like we’ve never seen.

We were so happy to be part of Courtney + Daniel’s Montfair Resort Farm wedding and can’t wait to show you some of our favorite moments.

Emily + Matthew’s Romantic Early Mountain Vineyards Wedding

Romance, a rustic winery setting, and an adorable pup: could a wedding get any better? Emily + Matthew’s Early Mountain Vineyards wedding had everything you could want from a big day. With romantic florals, stunning acreage, and one exceedingly cute dog, and we can’t wait to share it with you.

For Emily + Matthew’s wedding, we kept Emily’s makeup natural but sophisticated. With smudged liner and gorgeous lashes bringing out her beautiful eyes and a neutral lip, her natural beauty shone through during her big day. As for her hair, Emily’s strapless gown was perfectly accented by tresses pulled away from her face and shoulders in a classic up-do.

After getting ready, Emily went to meet her groom for the couple’s first look. On the stunning verdant grounds of Early Mountain Vineyards, the pair saw one another for the first time on their wedding day, and it was enough to bring tears to our eyes.

However, it was only the beginning of the day. The pair said their vows in front of family and friends, surrounded by love before going to their romantic reception. Complete with lush florals and stunning chandelier, the pair celebrated and danced the night away.

We are so happy to have been part of Emily + Matthew’s wedding day, and we’re equally as excited to share these highlights from the affair.

Michelle + Andy’s Autumn Keswick Vineyards Wedding

Nothing says autumn quite like warm hues, blankets, and al fresco weddings. Of course, that means we’re totally in love with Michelle + Andy’s autumn Keswick Vineyards wedding. This pair was the epitome of romance during their big day. From a sweet and intimate first look to an absolutely breathtaking sunset ceremony, if you’re looking for fall wedding inspiration, this is it. We can’t wait to show you how we captured all the romance of autumn for Michelle’s wedding day look.

We wanted to make sure that Michelle’s stunning beauty was the very first thing the guests saw. To do so, we pulled her beautiful blonde hair back into a low, curled up-do. To keep things, soft, however, we made sure that soft curls framed her face. As for her makeup, we kept things glamorous with black liner to define Michelle’s eyes and a focus on lashes to keep things romantic. We were in love with the final look.

Allison + Sandy’s Romantic Virginia Wedding at King Family Vineyards

What do you get when you combine rustic romance, warm hues, and a gorgeous bride? Allison + Sandy’s romantic Virginia wedding at King Family Vineyards, that’s what. This wedding day was punctuated with sweet moments between the bride and groom, a color palette that was rich and warm but still perfect for spring, and a bride who simply glowed. Needless to say, we are totally smitten with this wedding day.

Of course, our favorite part was Allison. This bride was the embodiment of fun on her wedding day. With her vibrant smile and laughter throughout the day, it’s extremely easy to see how Sandy fell in love with her. We decided to take a cue from her gorgeous smile and let that natural beauty shine through. Using neutral tones on her eyes and keeping things natural on her skin, we made sure that Allison’s natural beauty was the real star of the show.

We are so thankful that we were able to be part of Allison + Sandy’s romantic Virginia wedding, and we hope you’re just as in love as we are.
