Cherished Moments: Francesca + Ben’s Engagement at the University of Virginia

Here at Charlottesville Makeup Artist LLC, we love making our brides feel beautiful on their wedding day, but it’s not the only moment we love. For many of our brides, they’re gearing up for engagement photos, and we adore being able to pamper them for this day as well. That’s why we’re so excited to show you Francesca + Ben’s sparing University of Virginia engagement session! And, their move over to Raven’s Roost for even more photos.

The whimsical, braided style is perfect for Francesca’s impending nuptials, but it was a bit too formal for her engagement session. For her engagement hair, we curled her gorgeous blonde locks. We further added a sweet, loose braid around the crown of her head. The braid was the perfect romantic touch that helped Francesca’s face stand out beautifully.

As for her bridal makeup, we kept things defined but neutral. With a glossy, peachy pink lip and defined but neutral eyes, her natural beauty shone through during her engagement session.

Love Blooms at Pippin Hall | Kelsey and Dan’s Late Summer Wedding

A wedding where we felt “Pinch us so we know it’s not a dream“… Kelsey and Dan really made the most of the stunning lush greenery at Pippin Hill Vineyards on their wedding day… And their late summer wedding was absolutely stunning! Everywhere we looked, there were beautiful plants and flowers. They were making the whole place feel like a garden paradise. And let me tell you, their wedding photos by Jen Fariello turned out so fresh and lovely, just like a cheerful springtime tune!

Kelsey chose a classic A-line dress with a deep V-neck for her wedding day, and we made sure to complement her bridal look with the perfect long-lasting makeup.

Louisa and Grant’s Wedding | Inspired by Harry Potter

Sometimes things can get a little out of hand when it comes to themed weddings. That’s not what happened with Louisa + Grant’s Harry Potter wedding at Hermitage Hill. This duo knew how to create a gorgeous big day and give enough details to show their Hogwarts pride. We were thrilled to be part of this big day and feel like we got our own bottle of Felix Felicis when working with these two.

While Louisa’s homage to Severus Snape on her bridal heels is wonderful and the snitch ring box was a classic choice, Louisa was our favorite part of this themed wedding. For her bridal makeup, we decided to keep things natural but defined. We emphasized her lashes with a bit of liner along the lash line and kept her skin fresh and glowing.

We’re so excited to show off all of our favorite moments from Louisa + Grant’s gorgeous Harry Potter-themed wedding day.

Courtney + Daniel | A Charming Wedding at Montfair Resort Farm

Do you love natural, rustic weddings? This Montfair Resort Farm wedding is going to be the next thing you pin to your Pinterest board. Between the gorgeous greenery draped beautifully over, well, basically everything to the pops of blue, and the sweet al fresco ceremony! The wedding of Courtney and Daniel had everything a future bride could want and more. Speaking of brides, though, it’s no secret that our brides are the shining light of any wedding, and Courtney was, of course, no exception.

Making Courtney look beautiful for her big day was, admittedly, an easy task. Her natural beauty and stunning smile can light up a room, and we decided to make her God-given features pop even more.

For her look, we emphasized Courtney’s stunning eyes by lining them and adding voluminous lashes. With her eyes being the focus, we kept her skin glowing and left her lips neutral. The result was sparkling bridal eyes like we’ve never seen.

We were so happy to be part of Courtney + Daniel’s Montfair Resort Farm wedding and can’t wait to show you some of our favorite moments.

Romantic Fall Vineyard Wedding of Kristin & Daniel at Keswick Vineyards

If you were looking for the perfect fall wedding, we have one for you. Kristin & Daniel’s fall vineyard wedding at Keswick was the perfect combination of golden hour lighting and autumn foliage. Of course, we had to celebrate this stunning season with an equally as stunning wedding.

For Kristin’s fall wedding look, we wanted to stick with the same theme as the wedding: classic. For her makeup, we lightly lined her eyes and used neutral shades on her lids. Then, we made sure her lashes were the star of the show and kept her lips and cheeks a rosy pink. As for her hair, the back of Kristin’s gown was so beautiful that her hair needed to be pulled up to see it. We swept back curls into a classic, woven up-do that fully showcased both her dress and gorgeous face.

We were so blessed to be part of Kristin and Daniel’s fall vineyard wedding at Keswick Vineyards. From the sunset ceremony to the beautiful tented reception, it was everything you could want in an autumn wedding. We hope you enjoy seeing some of our favorite moments from the big day.
