James Monroe’s Highland Wedding | Classic Ceremony of Carina and Matt’s Love

What can we say? Here at Charlottesville Makeup Artist, LLC, we’re suckers for a classic wedding! And Carina + Matt’s spring James Monroe’s Highland wedding is just that. From the sweet church ceremony to the stunning reception, we’re totally smitten with both this couple and their beautiful big day.

For us, Carina + Matt’s wedding combined the best of all worlds. Their classic ceremony was flawless, and for their reception, they chose to go al fresco and romantic. From the ethereal violet hues to the gorgeous and soft florals, it was as if a garden had come to life for their big day.

Because of just how romantic their affair was, we decided to keep Carina’s wedding hair and bridal makeup classic. We pulled her blonde locks back into a low up-do but kept a bit of volume for a relaxed feel. For her makeup, it was all about Carina’s natural beauty. With a glowing complexion, defined eyes, and a neutral lip, she was the epitome of a perfect bride.

We couldn’t be happier to have participated in this couple’s classic James Monroe’s Highland wedding day, and we hope you love this sneak peek as much as we do.

A Stunning Bridal Styled Shoot of Sorbello Couture | James Monroe Highland

When it comes to us, nothing is better than a bride. That’s why we were so excited to work with a wonderful team of vendors to craft a Sorbello Couture bridal-styled shoot. This stunning, al fresco shoot features some of the most gorgeous gowns from Charlottesville-based designer Sorbello Couture. From a-line silhouettes to romantic lace, seeing this gowns was a total dream. Thankfully, we got to give these beautiful models hair + makeup that was just as gorgeous as their gowns.

For the shoot, we experimented with a few different looks including a diffused and smoky pink-hued eye look, some classic and neutral bridal makeup, and a bold lip. Our creative juices were certainly flowing as we worked on each of the gorgeous women involved in the shoot.

We adored being able to help craft these gorgeous images in any way, and we can’t wait for you to see some of our favorite shots from Jason Keefer Photography.

Chelsea + Daniel’s Romantic Outdoor Keswick Vineyards Wedding

Chelsea + Daniel’s outdoor Keswick Vineyards wedding has to be one of our favorites, and we don’t say that lightly. Keswick Vineyards’ gorgeous grounds, Chelsea’s beaming smile, and a tented reception all came together to create a joyous and beautiful summer wedding.

For Chelsea’s wedding look, we wanted her to look radiant and romantic. We kept her makeup ultra-glowy with flushed cheeks and a bit of a natural highlight. For her eyes, we defined them with liner and lashes but kept the colors neutral. Her hair, of course, we kept down for a romantic feeling but swept it back to one side to show off her beauty.

We’re so happy to have been part of Chelsea + Daniel’s Keswick Vineyards wedding and can’t wait to show you some of our favorite moments from their big day.

Jessica + Ray’s Guildford Farm Wedding

When it rains, it pours. At Jessica + Ray’s Guildford Farm wedding, that was certainly case. This couple’s romantic wedding day captured by C. Tyler Corvin Studio was nothing short of miraculous thanks to quick-thinking vendors and a little help from Mother Nature herself.

Jessica began her day with us as we highlighted her natural beauty (because sometimes less actually is more). With neutral colors accented by a hint of dark liner, Jessica’s eyes shone, and her glossy pink lip was the perfect, romantic addition to her wedding day makeup. As for her dark locks, they were swept back into a beautifully intricate low up-do that can only be described as elegant.

With Jessica and her bridesmaids’ hair and makeup squared away, you’d think all must be right in the world. However, the weather had other plans. With a storm coming just before the al fresco reception, the brilliant minds at Guildford Farms and planner Barb Wired worked quickly to move the celebration, and the result was a romantic evening for the newly married couple.
