Jamie & Michael’s Classic Pavilion on Lakeland Farm Wedding

If you’re a sucker for classic, beautiful weddings, get ready! Jamie & Michael’s Pavilion on Lakeland Farm wedding is about to make you so happy. From the church ceremony to Jamie’s stunning ballgown, this wedding is the epitome of a traditional day.

Because Jamie’s wedding was such a classic affair, we decided to stick with that theme for her bridal look. For her hair, we pulled back her brown locks into a romantic updo that worked perfectly for her gorgeous tiara and veil but still framed her face. As for her makeup, it was all about the eyes. We went with a subtle smoky look that was just enough to make Jamie’s eyes pop. For the rest of the look, we kept things simple and neutral with a flush on the cheeks and a shine to the lips.

We loved being part of Jamie & Michaelson’s Lakeland Farm wedding, and we can’t wait for you to see some of our favorite moments from the big day.

Diana + Jon’s The Seclusion Wedding

Soft, romantic pinks, glowing smiles, and a stunning venue all come together perfectly in Diana + Jon’s The Seclusion wedding. This big day featured a stunning mountain-view ceremony outdoors, a rustic meets romantic vibe, and of course, a couple whose love for one another radiated off them. Of course, though, our favorite part of this wedding was Diana.

Romance was key to Diana’s bridal look. We kept most of her hair down and in loose, waves with piece framing her face. Strands were then pulled back away from her face in a half-up, half-down style. For her makeup, we wanted to keep things natural but defined. Using neutral shades, we defined her eyes and played up her lashes. Her skin was natural and flushed, and for her lips, we used a soft, peachy-pink.

We’re so glad that we were able to be part of Diana + Jon’s The Seclusion wedding and hope you enjoy seeing this big day as much as we loved being part of it.

Lauren + David’s Summer Mount Ida Wedding

If you miss warm weather or continual blue skies, Lauren + David’s summer Mount Ida wedding is going to give you all the summertime vibes you’ve been missing. From the outdoor vows with a stunning view of the mountains and a romantic fountain to the natural, farmhouse reception, there’s something for everyone at this wedding. If you need 2020 wedding inspiration, Lauren + David’s big day will give it to you.

Of course, we’re a bit partial to Lauren and her bridal look. Honestly, if you need some bridal looks to add to your Pinterest boards, hers should certainly be one (if we do say so ourselves). For her hair, we swept her blonde locks back into an intricate updo that sat low at the top of her neckline in order to show off the back of her dress. We added bits of floral details and tendrils around her face for some romance. Lauren’s makeup focused on her beautiful eyes, but we kept things natural by focusing on neutral tones that complemented her stunning features.

We were so happy to be part of Lauren + David’s summer Mount Ida wedding, and we hope you love this sneak peek at their nuptials.

Mikal + Alex’s Boxwood Villa Wedding

Ah, sweet summertime. We miss you over here at Charlottesville Makeup Artist LLC, but we can relive some of our favorite summer weddings until temperatures start to warm. Mikal + Alex’s Boxwood Villa wedding was certainly one of them. This pair’s wedding combined rustic charm and romance in the perfect way, and we can’t get enough.

Another thing we’ll never get tired of? Seeing Mikal on her wedding day. This beautiful brunette bride was a blast, and we adored working with her. For her makeup look, we kept things all about the eyes. Using an eyeliner, we defined her last line and played up her eyelashes while leaving the rest of her look neutral. As for her hair, it was a mix of classic meets romantic. We swept her brunette locks back into a curling, intricate updo and left tendrils falling around her face.

Sure, winter may be here now, but take a moment and remember all the summer lovin’ — particularly Mikal + Alex’s.

Lauren and Preston’s Sunset Winery Wedding at Veritas

Nothing is more swoony than a sunset—except for one with a beautiful bride with cascading curls, the autumnal views of a Virginia winery, and a celebration of true love. That’s exactly what we had in Lauren and Preston’s sunset winery wedding at Veritas winery.

With such a romantic setting, we decided to make our bride and her beautiful bridesmaids look as romantic and ethereal as possible. For Lauren, we kept her stunning brunette locks half-up and half-down with soft tendrils pulled to the front. Of course, when a bride is this gorgeous, we had to make sure her hair framed (but didn’t cover) her sparkling eyes and vibrant smile.

Speaking of those eyes, we played them up with a bit of smokiness around the outer corner and lighter hues over her lid and inner corners for a soft but bright look. We finished them with a bit of eyeliner along her lashline and amped up her already beautiful lashes.

We adored being part of Lauren and Preston’s sunset winery wedding and feel honored to be a small part of their love story. For more from this gorgeous affair, check out some of our favorite moments below.
