Not all luxury is loud — sometimes, it’s floral prints, ashy blonde curls, and bronzed cheekbones glowing in the spring sun. Ella and Paul’s wedding at Farmington Country Club was proof that chic can still feel personal. A destination-inspired celebration at one of Charlottesville’s most iconic venues, this day was full of heart, elegance, and so many beautiful, unforgettable moments we’re still swooning over.
Farmington Country Club gave this wedding a kind of quiet grandeur — manicured lawns, elegant interiors, that old-Virginia charm that’s hard to replicate. But Ella and Paul made it their own. From the moment guests arrived to the final dance of the night, everything felt curated, intentional, and effortlessly beautiful.
It wasn’t just about the photos (by: Jen Fariello) (though let’s be honest — they were stunning). It was about how the entire day moved. How the floral details caught the breeze. How the sunlight hit Ella’s cheekbone during the vows. How every bridesmaid smiled, knowing she looked good and felt even better.
Ella walked through her morning with the calm confidence of someone who knew exactly what she wanted: a look that felt like her, just elevated. And we were all in. We love when our brides come to us with a vision that’s soft and intentional — the kind that lets their natural beauty shine.
Her makeup was a flawless balance of nude tones, soft bronzer, radiant skin, and natural lashes. We avoided anything too dramatic, leaning instead into that warm, lit-from-within vibe that photographs beautifully and lasts all day. With a strapless gown that turned heads in all the right ways, Ella looked modern, radiant, and completely herself.
We styled her hair into a half-up, softly curled look that moved beautifully with every step and every breeze. It framed her face perfectly, especially when she slipped into her strapless gown! It felt classic and modern all at once. With a bouquet of crisp white florals in hand, Ella was simply breathtaking.
Ella’s bridal party brought a mesmerizing freshness to the day with mismatched, light-colored dresses in floral patterns—each one unique, but all perfectly in sync with the season. The “floral” theme was interpreted in the most natural way—no forced trends or flashy palettes. Just soft, breezy elegance that allowed each bridesmaid to shine on her own yet still flow seamlessly as part of Ella’s vision. We created soft, bronzy makeup looks and graceful hairstyles for each of the bridesmaids, tailored to their skin tone and features, with just enough glow to tie them all together.
We’re always honored to be part of mornings like these. We genuinely love what we do — not just because we get to play with makeup and styles, but because we get to serve incredible people on one of the most meaningful days of their lives.
There’s nothing quite like watching a bride look in the mirror and feel confident, beautiful, and fully herself. That moment, that spark — it keeps us inspired, excited, and forever in love with our work. ❤️
Ella, thank you for trusting us with your wedding morning. Getting you and your girls ready was a joy from start to finish, and we’ll be swooning over your photos (and your glow) for a long, long time. ✨
Love,
The Charlottesville Wedding Hair and Makeup Artist Team
